Self-compensating or adjustable. Self-compensating models (the MC and SC families) adapt automatically to changing weight and speed cycle to cycle — the default for mixed loads. The adjustable MA30–MA900 series lets you tune damping to a fixed duty cycle for the shortest braking time.
The families. MC5–MC75 are the smallest self-compensating units (6–75 in-lbs/cycle, strokes from 0.16 in). MC150–MC600 add rolling-diaphragm technology for high endurance and low resetting force, with PMCN variants adding a TPU bellow for protection from fluids and particulate — and V4A stainless versions for clean-room, pharmaceutical, and food settings. SC190–SC925 are soft-contact units with long strokes for smooth, low-reaction deceleration, and the SC² piston-tube range packs high energy into a short stroke for installation right at the pivot point or inside pneumatic cylinders. Energy capacities run from a few in-lbs up to roughly 975 in-lbs per cycle.
Where they're used. Miniature slides, pneumatic cylinders, rotary and pivoting actuators, handling and pick-and-place modules, robotics, packaging, medical, and electronics equipment.
