ACE Damping Pads

ACE SLAB damping pads absorb impact and isolate vibration across a surface rather than at a single point — viscoelastic polyurethane you cut to size or order as a molded part and bond in place with adhesive. How to choose an ACE SLAB damping pad

When a damping pad fits. Reach for SLAB when impact or oscillation needs to be spread over an area — protecting large surfaces, isolating vibration, or quieting equipment — rather than decelerated at a discrete point. The viscoelastic PUR material delivers high internal damping, installs with adhesive, and can be cut to virtually any shape on a CNC system or supplied as a molded part.

Pick the density for your load. The range spans three densities — SL-030 (lightest, ~12.5 lbs/ft³), SL-100 (~27.5 lbs/ft³), and SL-300 (firmest, ~42.5 lbs/ft³) — each offered in -12 and -25 variants, covering energy from about 27 to 1,860 in-lbs/cycle. Standard plate heights run 0.5 to 1 in (up to 3.15 in on request), and the pads are connectable and combinable to build up the area and stiffness a job needs. Operating range is 23°F to 122°F.

Where they're used. Conveyor and transport belts, linear slides and carriages, pneumatic, electromechanical, and hydraulic drives, impact panels, pipeline insulation, and foundation mounting — anywhere distributed impact protection or vibration isolation beats a point absorber.

For point-load deceleration with a defined stroke, see our profile dampers or, for metered hydraulic control, our industrial shock absorbers.
