ACE Controls HB hydraulic dampers provide adjustable linear motion control for single- or double-acting braking. The coated body and wear-resistant piston-rod surface give these maintenance-free, ready-to-install closed systems a long service life and a constant feed rate across the stroke.

A control segment on the piston makes end-position adjustment straightforward, and a broad selection of interchangeable end fittings keeps assembly simple, so the damper can be deployed universally for damping swinging masses such as those in power-and-free conveyors. Construction results in a free travel of approximately 20 % of stroke; a separator-piston option without free travel is available on request.

Available in body diameters from 0.47 in (12 mm) to 2.76 in (70 mm) with strokes up to 31.5 in (800 mm), HB dampers are found across automotive, automation, machine-building, medical, electronics and furniture applications, as well as conveyor, transport and locking systems.
