The ACE DVC family are the first hydraulic dampers to offer precise, independent external adjustment of in- and out-stroke speeds. Separate adjustment segments for the compression and extension directions, together with bi-directional action, make these units well suited as safety or control elements where movement must be synchronized or pivoting loads compensated.

DVC dampers are adjustable without free travel and cover a compression and extension force range of 9.44 lbs to 450 lbs (42 N to 2,000 N) over strokes of 2.00 in to 6.00 in (50 mm to 150 mm). They are maintenance-free, ready-to-install, self-contained systems with a large selection of interchangeable end fittings for easy assembly in any position.

Velocity-control variants are specified by prefix: controlled in both directions (standard), CCO for controlled compression only, and CTO for controlled tension only. Typical uses span automotive, automation, machine-building and electronics, including cylinder speed controls, absorption control, and finishing and processing centers.
