The EB63 to EB160 safety shock absorbers share the robust heavy-duty body, internal system seals, and large-sized piston-rod bearings of the CB family and provide maximum energy absorption for emergency-stop duty, but an integrated spring package reduces the return forces to a fraction of those in the CB models. Each maintenance-free, ready-to-install unit is individually designed to the customer application, and because these hydraulic machine elements are independent braking systems, they continue to perform even if power fails.

They are well suited to crane systems and a wide range of heavy-duty and conveyor applications. Mounting is possible in any position, the positive stop is integrated, rod return is by integrated nitrogen accumulator combined with an additional return spring, and the damping medium is Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF). Special oils, special flanges, and additional corrosion protection are available on request.
