Telco capacitive proximity sensors provide non-contact detection for metallic and nonmetallic targets, depending on the material and application. Typical uses include detecting products, containers and process materials where an inductive sensor may not be suitable.

Compare housing style, sensing range, shielded or unshielded mounting, supply voltage, output logic and cable or connector options. Target composition, moisture, surrounding materials and installation conditions can influence performance, so application testing is recommended when the target is variable.
